Overview:

Working as the Director of Production you will be responsible for providing leadership, vision, and management to our entire production team. As the Director of Production you will focus on retaining skilled talent, training and encouraging a team-centric environment that improves efficiency and business performance. Must be capable of motivating others, creating a positive work climate, coaching and ensuring continuous quality improvements.  The Director of Production must excel in communicating company/department objectives, establishing well constructed plans, while monitoring progress, and overcoming adversity.



Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and duties of this position are, but not limited to:

  • Providing outstanding directional leadership to a team of managers, specialists and leads

  • Solve problems in the department by using data driven, logic based solutions  

  • Manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously; excellent multitasker

  • Supervise and scrutinize all stages of production from start to finish

  • Use of manufacturing best practices to ensure production is operating at peak efficiency

  • Strong understanding of organizational structure and interdepartmental needs

  • Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals

  • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed

  • Supervising and motivating a team of workers

  • Identifying and implement training needs.

  • Maintains favorable working relationships through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee engagement, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness









Minimum Position Qualifications:  

 

1. Required Education and experience:

  • Associates Degree; or equivalent combination of education

  • Minimum of 5 years experience supervising and managing 20 plus personnel

  • Multiple years of related manufacturing experience

 

2. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Possess strong analytical skills and problem solving skills

  • Results driven leadership with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines

  • Have a positive attitude and be able to work with a variety of personalities

  • Strong interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly provide work direction, communicate with support staff and present recommendations and ideas

  • Demonstrates leadership capability to motivate and mentor teams

  • Must be able to manage time appropriately

  • Ability to build, coach and motivate personnel, while holding employees accountable for their results
